My wife and I recently purchased bedroom and formal living room furniture at Ashely Furniture (Asheville/Airport Rd location). We let our salesman (John Miller, Gen Mgr) know that we were having company by 9/7/07 and also on 9/14/07 and needed the bedroom furniture before then. He checked and said "no problem." Delivery date was set for Tue, Sept 4th. By the 6th, still no furniture. We were told by the warehouse dept that if the furniture would have been marked "ship as available" we would have had it on time. Also told someone did not do their job correctly. In a conversation with John Miller today, he told us that the soonest we could get our furniture is by the 17th. He also said that the warehouse employee lied to us (100% doubt that). John would not do anything for us even though it was him and his store that made all the promises and mistakes. During our conversation, while I was talking, John Miller (General Manager) "you'll get a refund, this conversation is over" AND HUNG UP ON ME! I am EXTREMELY UPSET at this. Customers deserve much better. They don't deserve to order furniture, promised delivery by the date needed, have it not delivered, the GM refuse to fix the problem and then abruptly hang up on the customer. This store, this GM has wasted our time, our money, let us down and has forever more lost our business. In addition, don't bother calling the owner or e-mailing corporate offices (no response from either).
