Review 12/1/2010

Upon checkin at big bear getaways the office personnel apologized due to the fact that their maintenance crew reported that the audio visual equipment in the cabins living room was not operational. We had driven 2 hours to Big Bear so we excepted the cabin since we had already purchased tickets to events in the area. We stayed two days in the cabin and found that the equipment was completely non-operational. We complained at checkin and checkout and were told nothing could be done. 20 days later we received an email from big bear getaways stating that we would be billed for replacing the cabling and a rewiring charge. The company placed the charges on my credit card on file without permission. I have tried to email Leslie from big bear getaways twice and have also called the company. Every time I have called they have told me I will be called back, but never have I received a call back. I have tried to resolve this matter directly with the company but they are fraudulently charging my credit card and dodging my calls. This companies tactics are at a minimum illegal not to mention unethical. I should not be charged for existing faults found by the company's own maintenance team. My family left the cabin in better condition then we received it. I can see by the previous review this is standard practice for this company.
