Truly a POOR choice to plan your event, a nightmare. Horrible to work with, lack organizational skills, follow through and responsiveness to the client. Far too many problems to list. In all fairness, the previous reunion committee failed to write an evaluation/recommendations for the next committee. Rest a sure that will not occur this time! The committee was set on a facility, however because the owner of Creative Reunions has worked with the hotel she booked for us and has a wonderful working relationship with them, we agreed to have our event there. This hotel was not on our initial list when we were researching venues. We later came to find out Creative Reunion owner failed to enter into a contractual agreement with the hotel. Thus the cost she was originally quoted went up $10 per person after a contract was signed. Had the committee not met at the hotel to view the facility, it was quite possible the date we selected would have been booked by another party. The owner was late to every meeting, failed to return e-mails, phone calls, follow through on requests, I could go on and on and on. Our last meeting was at the venue to do a walk through to determine the set up. She arrived 35 minutes last, nothing to take notes with and her mobile phone had no charge and of course an excuse. We diagrammed the set up. The night of the event our contact person was one of her staff. The owner failed to discuss with him any of our details, complimentary registration for sponsors, no group photo. Half of the classmates did not receive a bio book. Apparently the books were delivered late. Her staff did not advised classmates as they checked in to please come back to receive one. There were a number of names tags with the wrong photos. One female had a photo of a male. The committee did a majority of the work, locating classmates, setting up contacts, purchased & picked up centerpieces, decorations, directional signage, program for the night signage, hired the entertainment, arrived early to check that the set up was done correctly. As mentioned early on she did not take notes during our last meeting. We had to move chairs & tables, ask hotel staff to clean the door floor, vacuum. One star is one too many.
