I purchased 2 "Lights of America" R-30 CFL flood light bulbs from Wal-Mart on 03/05/08. These are 5-year bulbs. Both bulbs have since gone bad. They died about a month apart but neither lasted even a year. Wal-Mart will not take the bulbs after 90 days. Lights of America has a replacement policy written into their warranty that states you must send them your receipt, the defective bulbs and packaging to their California office on your own dime! I contacted them via email in an attempt to get around this return policy. I did get a response after a few days but they stated they would replace the bulbs only after I sent in the defective bulbs. Other companies will allow you to send in your original receipt to replace defective bulbs but not "Lights of America." Obviously, this company is making it as difficult as possible to get replacement bulbs using their warranty. Since the out-of-pocket expense would be the same with less hassle, I will simply buy another brand of bulb to replace what was defective from "Lights of America."
