great install, great door
|
We contacted On Trac after a neighbor referred us to them. The neighbor had been very happy with his door, which looks great. We already knew the style we wanted. They have a strange communication system where you call the office and a girl takes your name and "hopefully" has someone call you back. But on more than one occasional in dealing with On Trac, the call never came. After waiting 2 days from my initial call, I never heard back. Not a good sign. I called again and got a call back the next day. This happened on at least 2 more occasions during the process.
Then when someone came out, he said he was not really a salesman so he didn't have any samples with him. Why would he come to the house without samples when we told him up front what kind of door we wanted? We made it clear on the phone that we wanted to see samples.
The next guy showed up with the same story. It took the 3rd visit for us to be able to actually get an estimate.
Once the estimate was approved by us the process went smoothly. The installation was perfect. Done very professionally by 3 very nice, courteous and respectful young men.
We love the door. It is annodized aluminum with glass panels and looks so great with our mid-century modern house. The Viper motor is the quietest garage door opened I've ever heard, and it is compatible with both of our newer Lexus model cars. I also love having a keypad outside the garage so that if I am in the front yard I can press the code and open the door without having to run through the house.
Over all, we loved the installation and te door/opener. It was just in the beginning that it took a while for the process to get "On Trac".
