This guy is a THIEF!!!
Initially brought in my car to repair my clutch. I brought in all the necessary parts, he was charging me $250.00 for Labor. That was the initial agreement. He then called me the same day and said that the parts I had brought in, were NOT for my car. After further investigation on my end with the dealer that sold me the parts and other reputable auto parts store, I found out that all the parts I brought in to "Quinto's" were indeed for my car! He lied and told they weren't so that he can order parts on his end and make money off of it. ( I have written proof that the parts I have are for my car, as well as pictures). I then confronted him, and told him I would like to take my car back. He then told me that I can take it back BUT he would charge $200.00 of storage, for 2 days! When he clearly has sign's at the entrance of his shop that say's " Storage charges $25 per day, starting 3 days after work is completed" ( I also have pictures of these sign's). I was upset when he told me I needed to give him $200.00 and I confronted him about it, he then threatened me, so I called the local sheriff. I have a police report available for you upon request, where he told the officer he was charging me for storage. The officer assisting encouraged me to file a claim with BBB and take him to small claims court since they have been dispatched to "Quinto's" location numerous times for similar issues. I gave him the $200.00 reluctantly to take my car and avoid problems. I will be filling a case with small claims court of Los Angeles. What ever you do, stay away from this thief!
