Review 9/16/2011

While on vacation my 2005 Ford Escape caught fire. It was Sunday so we had it towed to Santa Maria Ford to be looked at on Monday when their service dept reopened.
While there we decided to buy a 2011 Escape.
Once that decision was made the service manager magically appeared to work on his own motor home (using service dept equipment) so he looked at my car and informed the sales manager it had $2000-$4000 worth of damage. This lead to me getting less than half the low blue book value as a trade in.
Fwd a few weeks and I sent my car ins company to get a damage estimate, $580 parts and labor included.
Either I was lied to, or the service manager is so utterly incompetent he shouldnt be trusted to check tire pressure.
