My experience with Original Retro Brands has been nothing short of a complete NIGHTMARE! I placed an online order on December 7th consisting of four basic, simple T-Shirts for Stocking Stuffers at Christmas. I received a package about a week later containing two of the four shirts, and a second package just a few days before Christmas containing a third shirt. So far, everything was fine...However, as of the second week in January (a month after I placed my order) I still had not received the fourth t-shirt. Well, here it gets really good...
The only contact information I could find for the company was to e-mail their customer service department. So I did. I was contacted a few days later and from then on there were a total of 38 e-mails sent back and forth between me & the customer service rep until today (March 15th). At first I was told that all shirts had been shipped, and I must have lost a package. Then she said that I needed to file a complaint to FedEx because they are the ones that lost my package. When I requested the tracking numbers, I was repeatedly given inaccurate numbers or tracking numbers to the packages that I had already received. THEN after about 3 weeks of this, the woman e-mails me and she realizes that the entire time she had been thinking I was missing a shirt that I had actually received! So we had to start ALL over again, trying to find where my actual missing shirt was...Again, she told me it had already shipped out of the warehouse. I asked for the tracking number. She gave me the tracking number to the first package I received. I asked again, explaining that I did receive that package, she gave me another incorrect tracking number. I asked a third time and she said, again, that I needed to file a complaint with FedEx. Can't do that though, without a valid tracking number. On top of all this confusion and frustration, every time I would ask about the status of my order, I could not get a direct answer. It was either: "Let me check with the warehouse" or "Let me contact my supervisor" and then I wouldn't hear anything for approximately a week or so.
I finally just asked for my money to be refunded to me. I mean, how could I give someone a Christmas present when it was already February?!? I was informed that Original Retro Brands is not responsible for lost items after they have left the warehouse and therefore they would be unable to refund my money. But, I asked, what proof do you or I even have that my missing shirt ever left the warehouse? None.
After entirely too long, and far too much frustration, I received notification that they would just go ahead and ship me my missing shirt (three months after it was ordered, keep in mind). So I was extremely relieved! It was short lived, however, because a few days later I get an e-mail saying that the shirt I wanted was no longer available at all. I had to go BACK to their website and pick out a different shirt (that isn't even the one picked out by the recipient of this gift) and ask for that one to be sent. I finally received the replacement for the fourth shirt, but I am still not happy about giving a Christmas gift half way through March, especially when it's not even what they wanted in the first place.
