Timeshare Cure & Pacific Transfer
We started with Timeshare Cure in August 2012 and were led to believe that if we got all of our documents to them in 2 weeks our timeshare would be transferred out of our name in a timely manner. Whose timely manner???? We were told over and over again
much the same thing for almost a year and a half that it is in the recording stage. I had documented all the phone call I made to Pacific Transfer (at least every 2-3 weeks) as they were not initiating any correspondence or phone calls to me. The bottom line
is that it was still in our name. In November 2013 I contacted and filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in our state. As per their direction I contacted our credit card company and filed a dispute, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Los Angeles
& Silicon Valley and filed a complaint, and the Department of Commerce in our state. I gave them copies of my documentation and the solicitation letters I had received from Timeshare Cure in the mail. The Department of Commerce in our state had another consumer
who had filed a complaint and they had attorneys working on the case already. They were checking to see if any laws had been broken. As of this writing all of our cases are still open. I also contacted the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and filed a complaint
just to get it on record. This past Thursday, after I was told by Pacific Transfer that our case was in recording (for about the 15th time) with the county were we purchased our timeshare, I contacted the Courthouse in that county and was told that it had
been transferred out of our name and the documentation had been returned to Pacific Transfer. Now I am waiting for the final confirmation from Pacific Transfer. Needless to say I am not holding my breathe, however I do credit the agencies that I contacted
for moving this process along in the past 3 1/2 months. It seems there might be light at the end of the tunnel. I highly suggest that if you are in the same situation that you think about registering your complaint with the proper agencies in your state and
the BBB. If this company is not doing as they are advertising or living up to their contract then it is our job to call them on it.
